Care of your FinnComfort® Footwear

FinnComfort® footwear is made with some of the highest quality components available. This includes premium leather for the uppers. Leather is a natural product which will deteriorate over time with normal wear. However, FinnComfort® footwear will last longer if specific care is taken. This includes:

Use cedar shoe trees at end of day.

This absorbs moisture captured in the upper and helps maintain the proper shape

Rotate your shoes at least every other day.

This gives a chance for the leather to dry after a wearing for the day

Wear your shoes!

Do not simply store shoes in the closet without occasionally wearing them! This is not healthy for the leather upper nor the Polyurethane outsoles.

Clean and condition your shoes.

FinnComfort® uses three different types of leather. Each requires a different form of cleaning and conditioning:

Traditional or finished leather:

• Clean dirt off with either just a damp cloth, or with a shoe cleaner
• Make sure they are allowed to air dry completely
• Apply a cream, either natural (no color) or a cream the color of the shoes

Suede:

• Clean dirt off with a damp cloth or a soft brush
• Allow to completely air dry
• Brush with a Suede brush

Nubuck:

• Clean dirt off with a damp cloth or a small brush
• Clean dirt off with a damp cloth or a small brush
• Brush with a Nubuck brush

NOTE: Do not use a Suede brush which is too tough for Nubuck

Clean your Footbeds

FinnComfort® Footbeds are all removeable and should be removed at the end of the day for airing. To clean your footbeds hand wash in warm water (86° F) with a mild soap. Please allow to air dry.
