For the Environment
As a family-owned business, we take our responsibility towards future generations very seriously. This is why every one of our company divisions is focused on environmental compatibility and on a responsible use of the materials we employ. We predominantly use natural, renewable raw materials. While we pride ourselves on exquisite old-world craftsmanship, we also attach great importance to operating with state-of-the-art modern technology. Not only do we adhere to the strictest quality and environmental standards, but we demand this from our suppliers as well.
Our factory and offices in Germany only use renewable energy sources (wind, solar, water). We even recycle excess heat produced from a local bio-fuel plant through an underground pipe to our facility.

For the Good of People and Nature
FinnComfort® consciously pays attention to the use of natural materials in the production of footbeds and shoes. The breathable and skin-friendly upper leathers are guaranteed to be free from harmful preservatives (PCP) and AZO dyes as well as allergy-causing nickel compounds. FinnComfort® only uses high-quality upper leathers from ecologically and quality-conscious German and European tanners.
Renewable raw materials such as cork, jute and natural latex are the main components of the footbed, which, with vegetable-tanned leathers ensure excellent breathability and an optimal foot climate. Where needed, uppers and soles are bonded with water-Soluble adhesives. All soles are foamed CFC-free.
