Foot Health
If the body is a house, the feet are the foundation of that house.
Over a lifetime, our feet can walk enough miles to circumnavigate the world at least once. This can lead to tremendous wear, not only on our feet but our knees, hips, and back. If our feet are not aligned correctly or our walking gait is not correct, the wear and tear on our bodies can be exacerbated.
An investment in foot health is thus very important for people of all ages. This can include exercise that strengthens the foot muscles and tendons and of course healthy, supportive footwear. FinnComfort® believes healthy footwear should help to prevent possible stress and damage. Therefore, we regularly consult experienced orthopedists and podiatrists when developing FinnComfort® footwear. Their medical expertise helps us translate the complex interplay of muscles, tendons, and joints into an anatomically healthy shoe structure.
If you wear a properly fitted, well-cushioned, quality shoe, you are providing yourself a good basis for physical well-being. We hope that walking in our shoes provides you with pleasant long-term comfort and health.

Designed By Nature
Our premium comfort footbeds create the foundation of our footwear and keep the foot in its most efficient alignment.
FinnComfort® footbeds are anatomically contour molded and ergonomically designed to support and gently reposition the heel, arch, muscles, ligaments, tendons and bones in the feet, enabling these structures to work together as nature intended, making each step you take supremely comfortable and pain free. Unlike conventional shoes, FinnComfort® distributes pressure evenly across the foot, which may help in reducing unnecessary stress and prevent foot and back ailments. Your feet, and your entire body, are supported properly and naturally in our footwear – like walking barefoot in the sand.
Made of natural cork harvested from Mediterranean Oak trees, Hevea latex from the rubber tree, woven layers of jute and lined with rich organically tanned suede (chrome free and hypoallergenic), FinnComfort® footbeds encourage good posture and proper foot function while cradling and guiding your feet from heel to toe.
The anatomically shaped Super Comfort Footbed enhances the natural heel-to-toe walking motion, thus training the foot and toe muscles. It is skin friendly, tanned with organic, vegetable dyes.
It can be removed for airing and washed with mild soap and warm water (86° F). All FinnComfort® footbeds are removable and can be replaced.

Premium Vegetable tanned leather. During vegetable tanning the tanning agents are derived from various woods and barks, free of chemical additives. This is both eco-friendly and healthy for the foot.
Natural and renewable cork. This sustainable raw material is extracted from the bark of the of the cork oak tree and has very special properties; it is lightweight, flexible, absorbs shock and resists most bacteria. It also insulates against cold and heat. This is why cork is the main component of the FinnComfort® footbed.
Natural latex (Rubber) which is ecological and sustainable. For producing latex, the bark from a rubber tree is scored to obtain the sap. This natural product is used in the FinnComfort® footbed as the basis for the resilient cushioning material and as a binder and adhesive for the cork and top leather.
Natural Jute. The glossy golden jute fibers in the FinnComfort® footbed ensure additional stabilization and better humidity absorption. This material is specially planted for harvest, thus ensuring precious resources are not destroyed, but rather re-planted.
